Pictures of the Quake

Japan’s Prime Minister, Naoto Kan, said today that the aftermath of the earthquake on Friday was Japan’s toughest crisis since World War II. The official death toll has been raised to 1351 and it’s been estimated that 10,000 people are missing from the town Minamisanriku which has the population of 17,000.

High quality pictures of the earthquakes after-effects can be seen on The Big Picture.

(I recommend that you use the J and K buttons on your keyboard to go up and down through the pictures)

Update: The New York Times just posted interactive photos from Japan.

    Words can’t express.
